North Carolina Bluefin Tuna
Bluefin Tuna can be caught from late November through April off North Carolina’s Outer Banks. In recent years, the best bite has been from mid-February through mid-March and we encourage people to come target bluefin during this peak time. The giants typically mix with smaller school fish in the late winter, providing excellent action. Trolling, jigging, and casting poppers are all possible, depending on the location and size of both the fish and school they are traveling with. Besides bluefin, we can target yellowfin, dolphin, wahoo, and king mackerel.

Florida Swordfish Trips
In South Florida we have several boats that specialize in swordfishing, both day and night. Depending on your travel schedule and group size, we can recommend the perfect boat and location to target swordfish in the Gulf Stream off the South Florida Coast.
We employ different tactics in our different locations, depending on whether we are fishing daytime or night. Daytime fishing as deep as 2000 feet can be accomplished with either conventional or electric reels, while the nighttime fishing is always done with conventional gear, with baits fished much shallower. The Swordfish in the Straits of Florida range from small 50 pound pups, up to 400 pound monsters and getting 3 to 5 bites a trip is not uncommon. We offer dedicated daytime swordfishing trips, or we can mix in a sword trip with other species, such as dolphin and sailfish. We also do combination trips leaving in the afternoon, doing a few daytime drops, before beginning a nighttime drift.
Where: Fort Lauderdale, Miami and the Florida Keys
When: Year Round
Target Species: Broadbill swordfish
Getting There: Direct flights into Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Miami (MIA) or Key West (EYW).
Cost: Trips starting at $950

Bahamas Monster Wahoo!
San Salvador is arguably the best place in the world to target monster wahoo, and the OVER UNDER will once again be putting this much heralded destination back on its itinerary for 2011, albeit for a fairly short duration. This tiny island in the far southern Bahamas is a magnet for big wahoo, just ask George Poveromo who has fished here twice in the last 5 years, and has bagged wahoo over 100 pounds (117 and 143) on both occasions! Trolling is the name of the game, and with a healthy shark population, many unfortunately are lost to predators, but this is part of the game here in San Sal. We are offering 3 to 5 day fishing packages in mid- to late-February, and have a total of 15 days available, so please call us now if you'd like to join us this winter.
Where: San Salvador, Bahamas
When: February (extremely limited dates, please call now)
Target Species: Giant Wahoo
Getting There:Fly Bahamas Air to San Salvador, via Nassau
