Stone Harbor Back Bay Fishing

In 2010, we will greatly expanded options for all types of fishing here in Stone Harbor. We are available for Sunset Cruises, Eco Tours, Hourly Family Fishing, and both full and half day back bay fishing charters. Our three locations, Avalon, Stone Harbor, and Sea Isle City, offer super convenience for anyone looking to get in a fun back bay fishing trip.

Avalon Pointe Marina - 701 Old Avalon Blvd

At Avalon Pointe Marina, our Mirage 21 Factory Demo boat is once again on display and available for both inshore and back bay fishing. This boat is capable of running to the 20 fathom curve for inshore tuna, bluefish, bottom fishing for flounder, or fishing the back bay. Full day, half day, and hourly rates are available for back bay fishing trips for your Cape May vacation this year.

Sightseeing, Crabbing, and Cruises

All of our back bay boats are available for all sorts of fun water activities. Take a sunset cruise and check out all the great properites behind Stone Harbor and Avalon, go crabbing with the kids, or maybe a fun eco tour over to the wetlands institute for some bird watching. Just let us know what you'd like to do and we'll do our best to make it happen. Hourly rates are available, starting at $125 per hour, with a two hour minimum duration.

Stone Harbor Deep Sea Fishing Charters

Our Inshore and Deep Sea Fishing Charters come in three durations. 5 Hour half day chaters, 8 hour full day charters, and 10 hour extended day charters for reaching those fish just a bit further offshore. Our NJ Deep Sea Fishing Charters offer a chance to get out in the Atlantic Ocean, and either troll, bottom fish, or do some wreck fishing. We target Bluefish, Flounder, Sharks, Tog, Striped Bass, and Weakfish. From Stone Harbor, you will need to drive to Avalon where we have direct access to an inlet to get out fishing. The drive is usually only about 5 to 10 minutes from Stone Harbor.

5 Hour Half Day Trip - The favorite for the kids, our half day trips offer enough time to do some light trolling, bottom fishing, all while being within sight of land.

8 Hour Full Day Trip - This is our standard Deep Sea Fishing Trip, which allows us to venture up to 15-20 miles offshore if necessary, although often we are fishing within a mile or two of land. Trolling, Bottom Fishing, and Wreck Fishing are all possible on our Full Day Deep Sea Fishing Trips.

10 Hour Extended Day Deep Sea Trip - This Deep Sea Fishing Trip allows us to go a bit further in search of deep water flounder, larger bluefish, and also has chances at some smaller tuna and dolphin.

Stone Harbor Offshore Fishing Charters

Over Under Adventures operates south Jersey's premier canyon tuna charter boats. From May through November, you’ll find us tuna fishing the NJ Canyons out of the Stone Harbor area. We offer 10, 12, 16, 22, and 46 Hour Offshore Fishing Charters.

We will be tournament fishing for sharks, marlin, and tuna in tournaments like the Mid Atlantic 500, Cape May Shark Tournament, and Ocean City White Marlin Open. We typically dock at Avalon Point Marina which is one of the most conveniently located marinas, with respect to the inlet, in all Cape May County, New Jersey. Chartering out of Avalon allows our NJ Charter Boats to fish areas not frequented by the Cape May Charter Boats, like the Spencer, Lindenkohl, and Carteret Canyons. Many of our tournament customers come from the Stone Harbor area.

NJ Charter Fishing in the canyons is one of the most exciting big game fishing trips around. You can catch virtually every type of tuna, in addition to swordfish, big sharks, dolphin, and marlin.
